The last one wasn't Gygax, it was Erik Mona. "Iggwilv was Tasha" was a comparatively recent retcon.

This is wild - somebody did a deep dive into the real stories behind this famous XKCD: sheets.works/data-viz/hol...
an XKCD comic showing a precariously assembled tower of blocks. much is labelled "all modern digital infrastructure." a thin leg down at the bottom is labelled "A project some random person in Nebraska has been thanklessly maintaining since 2003."

Enchantress exists, since they mentioned Rick Flag was dating her in season 2 of Peacemaker. It may not be 100% canon, but probably the basic outline of the movie happened.

In the comics, Guy Gardner, John Stewart, and Kyle Rayner originally got the ring in periods when Hal was out of commission and after various shenanigans got separate rings so that the writers could bring Hal back without having to bench his replacements.

This is why DuckTales Helen of Troy is the most mythologically accurate Helen of Troy.
Helen of Troy as she was depicted in the animated series DuckTales (1987): as an anthropomorphic duck. The closest we've gotten to the human/swan hybrid we deserve.

I especially liked the citation of Myers v. United States to show the two parties weren't adversarial.
President Trump is Chief of the Executive Branch, see U.S. CONST. Art. II, § 1 (the
“Vesting Clause”), and the Vesting Clause is the bedrock of his authority over that branch
of government. Id. Specifically, the Vesting Clause states that “The executive Power shall
be vested in a President of the United States of America.” Id.; see also Free Enter. Fund
v. Public Co. Acct. Oversight Bd., 561 U.S. 477, 496–97 (2010) (“[T]he President ‘cannot
delegate ultimate responsibility or the active obligation to supervise that goes with it,’
because Article II ‘makes a single President responsible for the actions of the Executive
Branch.’”) (citing Clinton v. Jones, 520 U.S. 681, 712–13, (1997)); Seila Law LLC v.
CFPB, 591 U.S. 197, 213 (2020) (“The entire executive Power belongs to the President
alone.”) (citation and quotation marks omitted). Indeed, just recently, the Supreme Court
cited Myers v. United States, 272 U.S. 52, 133 (1926) as a “landmark decision” and
“perhaps our best word on the subject” of whether the President could remove
subordinates in government service at will. Trump v. Slaughter, 609 U.S. __, slip op. at
16 (2026). Finding that he could, the majority ruled that “[s]ubordinates who exercise the
President’s power are subject to removal by him. Then, and only then, can they remain
accountable to the President, and the President to the people.” Id. at 36. “[T]hese officers
exercise the President’s power, not their own, and thus must be responsible to him.” Id.
at 35 (emphasis in original).

I liked how the judge used a very recent "unitary executive" Supreme Court decision against Trump here.

“Vesting Clause”), and the Vesting Clause is the bedrock of his authority over that branch
of government. Id. Specifically, the Vesting Clause states that “The executive Power shall

I think, though it's not conveyed well in the film, both cousins were so inbred they were essentially twins; Paul was fighting the version of himself that he would have been if he had been raised differently. That this was a challenge implies his time in Arrakis didn't toughen him much.
