There should be corporal punishment for shippers who send a notification that the shipment is arriving today (thus causing one to drop everything and wait by the doorbell) and then no-showing. I’m looking at you, DSV.

1/ Restoring Yandex's damaged data centres will take at least six months and cost billions. Disruption is already severe; Russian manufacturers and distributors face imminent disaster due to Ukraine's strikes causing the collapse of the state-operated goods tracking system. ⬇️

used to be an unknown band could roll into any city with a music club and there would be a built in crowd of people there to Discover New Music then we turned phones into Killer Jukeboxes and discovery moved there now the only way to reach new listeners is to get to them on their phones, somehow

one thing that is profoundly clear is that future historians will come to view the era from 1965-2005 as a Musical Renaissance period that will never repeat those of us old enough to have caught most of this arc are among the luckiest music lovers who will ever live on this planet

I’ll have more on this later but in short: remixing this album to bring the sound up to modern standard was a challenge and I am extra pleased with the result

Y'all. I blinked... And 20 years passed. I can't wrap my head around it, but apparently we released this record *20 years* ago. Madness! To celebrate, I’m absolutely delighted to announce that we are partnering with Idol Records to reissue the album as DOUBLE VINYL! 🌈 📽️ 🥳

correlation to music: it’s a hell of a lot easier for a scruffy guy with a gravelly pitchy voice than a woman with a less than perfect body and less than pitch perfect voice

Speaking of Rush, I don’t think anyone imagined a comeback tour on the level these guys have been delivering. While so many 70s bands have become parodies of their former selves, Rush is delivering an incredibly demanding show with high energy and at top of form. And Anika is awesome.

I was fortunate in that when I was 27 I realized there was no way I could keep on in a straight 8-5 corporate job. The effort required to always be on time and ready to work at 8am was exhausting in itself.

I was always a fan of the hits but never did a deep dive because, well, it all felt so sloppy in an age of precision-tuned music, but during the last two years I fell down a deep well of Young's music and have yet to crawl back out. Stupendous body of work for which there is no clear comparison.
