theres so much that works in concept but a lot of the lines about not finding/needing true love feel abrupt and unearned if trying to subvert "fairytale love". i feel so bad for mari + her unrewarded sacrifice too, i wish we had more time with maris interiority instead of lucas- what wasted time 😭
