Exploring #cmyprimarycolors while private student learned traditional Color Wheel. While I see advantages to CMY, it is still limited by pigments. #utrechtartsupplies CMY Primary set frm @blickartmaterials "cyan" is just Pthalo Blue, not a very accurate Cyan. Still searching for a good CMY set...

One problem with #socialmedia from an artists perspective is that we work in series, yet this format only shows the most recent posts. I share pieces of series that get easily ignored. Even posting multi-part threads requires immediacy, whereas my work takes time. #art #contemporaryart #digdeeper

One of the major flaws with social media and the internet is that it's based off popularity only showing what's already received tons of views. Search results are whats poular not whats good or accurate. Since when is popularity a measure of goodness (I'm talking to you HS nerds geeks and outcasts)?

Time and material are too variable for calculating cost of #art. I can crank out a decent sized painting in 5hrs, or months to paint another. Materials depend on needs of piece. So one might require cheaper ultramarine while another more expensive cobalt. Art doesn't fit nicely into #capitalism
