Range and charging time are the hold up to massive EV adoption in US, with its habit of long distance travel. Yes, its advancing, but 400-600 mile range and 3-5 min recharge time at stations would then equal gas engines. Add in reduced maintenance and its a winner, even at a higher cost.

Lots of younger faces coming up. A Pritzker/Ossoff ticket would be killer. Newsom can't win nationally with his Hollywood agent manner & looks. Some are good but are spending their time on podcasts and News Hour, not in public address to crowds. That takes practice, not consultant talking points.

Speakers are 50% of sound which people ignore, chasing tone through pedals. If yours has a speaker output, or wire one in like I did, you can get an external cab. That will probably help it a lot.

I'm not out in a warehouse or a lonely farmhouse so levels have to keep semi-lower. Thus the effort to get some overdrive without rattling windows across the street. The Sunn, Quad Reverb & EVM speakers are big, loud, clean machines and need help pushing the tubes at reasonable vol.

Tone is ALL that matters. Days spent twiddling knobs until lightning struck just this morning. "Hell, I have 2 preamps. Why not chain them to get the louder signal into the Frenzel." Then tried the MXR>Frenzel. That will work for mobility, but if fixed in house, use both tube pres.

You are very kind. Only difference on the subject between FDR or Truman and Ossoff or Reich...is that the later have to add Zeros to the amounts they cite. Wealth's actions and intent within the GOP are the same.

Guitar into MTI Tubes first, then Frenzel, then into bright input of Sunn. Speaker is TL806/EVM12L. Tried reversing preamp order but this is better. Also did a MXR 10 band EQ pedal for gain staging (no MTI). Worked better but truthfully, the 2 tube pre's have a deeper quality of tone.

Guitar Stuff-chaining tube preamps. Wasn't getting the gain and overdrive I wanted from Frenzel & Gretsch HiLotron. Low guitar PU output. I don't like digital pedals but thought might need a gain pedal. Then hit me, I have a tube one. Now slight OD to super heavy distortion with fine tone control.

Something that has helped the Harmony and a Blues JrIII is the BrownBox which limits the wall voltage. Wouldn't think so but running them at 117 or 113 V sweetens the sound as opposed to the 125-129 V normal wall voltage. But the big amps have big transformers which add a depth & space to the tone.

Key word here is "cheaper" Current Pentagon purchasing emphasizes BigMoney. Big Contracts to Big Contractors. General Dynamics could make drones, but only if they cost $5mill each. No the small amounts Ukr spends per unit. To make such a shift would mean reforming Pentagon spending.

To do the necessary things, Democrats must do some heavy lifting to pass legislation. 1-the filibuster. Remove or force it as a talking filibuster. Make aged Senators stand for hours. FDR in 73rd Congress, had NO filibuster, though not cloture proof numbers. 2- SCOTUS. Expand & reform procedures.

I think it shows the limits of a purely Air campaign. Iran has had decades to prepare and counter that. And they did. By unwilling to commit ground forces for a full invasion, which no one wanted, Iran's true military strength remained intact, defiant, able to project force along borders & beyond.

Was a local diner today for a late lunch. Couple of hot dogs with chili and slaw. Good fries but the buns were stale on the dogs. Usually good food at this place. When moved to area, diners were warming buns in big flat press toasters. I like steamed buns which is how I fix them. Nice and soft.

Tend to use them with all my amps. Crank amp tone controls to 10. Cut back mids. Use preamp controls to fine tune. With Harmony, Vol 8-10. Use tone, Vol & Master Vol to control tone and overdrive.

4/Not best work but good for now. The 8" Jensen Alinco is ok at low vol but flubs out if turned up. Much better driving other speakers at 4 ohms. Use it with 4x12 cab, 2x12 & 1x12. Sounds great through TL806/EVM 12L. Very efficient speaker. Run through Weber Z-Matcher & BrownBox at 116V. End

3/So decided for a more stable solution and one easier to use. My old trick of a cable plug or blank wall plate with 1/4" female plug mounted & wired to amp output. Then the plate mounted to cab with L brackets. Can then plug/unplug conbo speaker or use amp with other speaker cabinets.

2/In my combo amps, I like to install a female 1/4 in plug so I can run the speaker separately or amp into another speaker/cab. Done with 1/4in male plugs and a coupler. In this instance, couldn't keep coupler steady and kept pulling the ground wire off output transformer terminal strip as moved.

🧵Guitar Stuff-A more lasting Harmony repair 1/ Some may remember I have a Harmony H400 (circa '65?) which I got for Christmas. Dragged around for decades & used it as practice amp. Died & repaired. Vol/on off knob. Chipboard cab. 8in Jensen speaker. All tube 4 watts. Isolation transformer installed.
