iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I have a preview feature for links that looks like a reader. GitHub repos didn't render very well in it. It took a while, but I've got it working now. I can just show the README. :) #macdev #indydev #buildinpublic

I’m currently building a Bluesky #Mac client and want to implement the chat feature. Problem: I don’t have any chats. 😅 Can you help me out sending messages? AMA, I’m happy to answer. #indydev #buildinpublic #swift

Fantastisches Interview mit einer Schwimmerin, die in unter neun Stunden eine Strecke von 29 km (Strait of Georgia) geschwommen ist, den Männer-Rekord gebrochen hat und im Interview einfach super unterhaltsam ist. Lese-Empfehlung. www.cbc.ca/radio/asitha...

"Take me to the moment where you finally arrived on the beach after swimming so far. What did that feel like?

A little uncomfortable because my legs gave out and I fell onto some barnacles, so that was fun. And then there was a bunch of people, so that was wonderfully overstimulating, so I had to put on a smile — "Yay, I'm suffering on the inside! Too many people!" Had to pretend I was an extrovert."

I’ve been experimenting with the idea of using the Playdate’s crank to increase or decrease the depth of fractals for a while. Last week, I finally had the idea of making a description and all the formulas scroll through. I’m happy with how it turned out! :) #playdate #EmbeddedSwift #fractals

Sunday is fun day! While reading chrisburnell.com/html-can-do-... I learned that I can have a photo gallery and a lightbox without JavaScript. It has nice deep linking and shows extracted EXIF data. ricobeck.de/photostream....

Nice artificial #clouds this evening. A really bluesky-worthy photo. :) #photography #bluesky

Ha! Seems like the 10 years old #pebble #ios SDK is still working. Getting heart rate measurements from the watch works. Sending live data as well. One step closer replacing the apple watch as heart rate sensor and remote display for workout metrics. :)

Finally my #pebble arrived. I'm excited! 🤭

It's Sunday, and I tried out a new lens. So here's my contribution to #BloomScrolling! The colour fits the end of the #Giro.

It's ugly, but it works. Let's start making it look like a real Mac app. (without too much glass 🙈) #GoPro #swiftui #indydev #BuildInPublic

Instability of an unsteered bicycle. This shows 800 runs of a bicycle being pushed to the
right. For each run, the path of the front wheel on the ground is shown until the bicycle has fallen
over. The unstable oscillatory nature is due to the subcritical speed of the bicycle, which loses further
speed with each oscillation.

> Bikepacking The absolute most I'll ever attach to a bike is a handlebar bag for a camera and a spare lens. :D #cycling #photography

Today I found my #GoPro Hero7 in the drawer, charged it and mounted it on my bike. Turns out: when GPS is turned on it records the GPS location continuously. Amazing! I made an extractor for GPSX and SRT (in good old DJI style). #swiftui #indydev #BuildInPublic

After a couple of days with Indigo there's a very clear trend: 95% my notifications are purple. I think what I see is the definition of confirmation bias. :)

It's so simple – I really like it. The window is below everything and if you hold ⌘ it's activated. ( know, I just re-invented desktop widgets) #macos #rss #swift

My current project has extremely long compile times. During those I made a #macos #RSS reader that's living on the desktop level. It's refreshing every minute so I don't have to change to an app/browser. I can just sit and stare. 🤣 That was a real effort for my laziness.

I think I accidentally turned the workout interval bars into art. Will keep it this way! #cycling #swiftui

Valhalla (the FOSS!) is a really nice piece of software. Here: route tracing and elevation service. This enables turn-by-turn navigation and elevation profile with grades/segments in climbs. valhalla.github.io/valhalla/ #swiftui #cycling
