Lots of things went wrong on that last play but it started on a bad breakout pass by Arber Xhekaj. He has generally been good but that was a mistake. Habs now need to also capitalize on some mistakes too

Quebec Rock Journalist Mitch Laron just shared it on social media as did Eddy Trunk.

Is Silov Latvian for “Vasilevskiy”?

Just heard that Sass Jordan passed away today. I loved her powerful voice and she walkways came across as a strong, confident woman. RIP Sass Jordan

Scouting the Drummondville at Armada game this afternoon. Ottawa Senators 3rd round draft pick, Louis-Felix Bourque has looked very good so far. Mobility has improved and he is holding to the puck and making plays

Very sad to read of the passing of Brooke Eby. She was an advocate for people with ALS, and a truly amazing woman’s

Thought the Habs did well Defensively, especially on the PK. There were some promising signs

Missed bits of pieces of the game for family reasons but Dach, Anderson and Matheson have been very good so far tonight.

Not the best start for the Habs but they settled in. Like how they played off the cycle and they seemed to be looking to shoot a little more.

One thing about the Marchenko for Knies trade that I question: Knies was seemingly almost traded to the Habs last season and now has been traded to Columbus. Why would Toronto be so willing to trade a talented young player like that? Has to be a reason IMO.

@mccagg.bsky.social I made it a point to watch the defense of Dach you produced. I didn't see much of the game against Toronto, opting for the home game, and when I did flip to that game, analyzing Dach's game wasn't a top priority. However, watching his shifts in isolation on your video, it's...

Val Di Non is a beautiful place to go hiking.

Rick Springhetti @rickspringhetti.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Another point is that it’s a bit difficult to sign a player to a 4 year deal and then to trade him a few months later unless he has been made aware of a sign and trade. It’s not a good look.

Kappanen is an example to me: in many games, he will be a solid 2nd line centre, other games, he may be playing third line minutes. Thats why depth is important for winning teams. Rigid categorization is not realistic to me.

Rick Springhetti @rickspringhetti.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

As I relax in a beautiful cafe in Italy, I have come to a realization that too many of us have a habit or grading the role or potential of NHL players too stringently. Most will move between lines, we should be looking at ranges instead of ultimates

If you are in Trento, I highly recommend Caffe Bar Venezia. Nicely located, good food at a reasonable price but mostly, a very kind and welcoming staff.
