This is why we need to call it global warming again. WARMING is what’s killing people. WARMING is what will trigger disasters and displace populations. In 2002 the GOP decided to start calling it climate change because they thought it was “less frightening”. Global warming is killing people.

The reason I’m so adamant about this is that the current ecosystem outside of ATproto for short form vids is ATROCIOUS It’s predatory, brainrot-ridden, & designed to preserve mindless scrolling. I don’t think we’re aware of the cognitive damage it’s doing to us ATproto could offer something better

"Enrique" is picking oranges in Visalia, CA area. "We're paid $33 per 900 lb bin. We get this rate as the fruit on the trees is very small, so it takes much longer to fill a bin. I work 6 hours, from 5 to 11 am and managed to fill 3 bins. Basically, about one every 2 hrs." #WeFeedYou
