Depends on the scheme. Some DB schemes compel external transfers, others compel internal only. It’s the external ones where the problems can emerge for the unwary

Speak or publish. Witnessing what is going on in the US which has already filtered into Reform and the far right, this is only going to get worse because shame and self-regulation is disappearing. If elected members are lying blatantly and they know it, then out the door you go at the very least

One of the simplest things the UK government can do to prop up democracy is to enable MPs who blatantly lie to be removed or even prosecuted. Sure, give them a chance to recant and apologise but if they don’t/won’t then that’s the consequence. This doesn’t just apply in the House but anywhere they

On the basis that approximately 90% of all bad faith attacks on their opponents are actually projection, I’m betting on this couch-botherer being arrested on some pretty grim charges in the years ahead

We don’t spend enough time talking about just how WEIRD all these people are. This is just an incredibly weird and insecure thing to say. Imagine any other SecDef ever being this weird and insecure?!

One more time for the hard of thinking, the government do not prosecute people (thankfully) The police have operational independence when it comes to charging decisions (as do the CPS). Let the investigation and prosecution take its course without jeopardising the case.

The complete and total collapse of state function in the face of far right extremists. It is frankly ludicrous that Daniel Thomas continues to be at large given the series of crimes committed which he has literally filmed.

TOLATA cases are not identified in the published court statistics for civil claims and even then a large proportion would be ‘family’ cases rather than cohabitees. It’s complete guesswork

I was / am a huge admirer of the way that Starmer went about government. Yes, there were traps he fell into that he should have seen but he was making progress. The problem though is that he did not/ could not articulate a vision or communicate a strategy that embedded and inspired the public. Fatal

Not content with trying to break the EU & ECHR, Farage also cofounded a group aimed at breaking the WHO. And would you look at that, it has links to the nicotine industry and doesn’t want regulations on vapes! As always with Farage, follow the money. He’s nothing but a political prostitute.
