Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 02/10/2026#inktober2026 begins. It's barely a doodle but you've got to start somewhere. I might add an apple to tomorrow's drawing. #apple #inktober #day1 0413
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Went for a nice walk thru Ralph Klein Park this morning. On the one hand it would be nice for a path that leads deeper into the marsh area. On the other hand it's great that the birds don't have to put up with humans walking deeper into the marsh area. #yyc 031
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 23/09/2026A couple more sleeps and you'll have the whole plot. I BELIEVE IN YOU! 031
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Glenmore Reservoir is smooth like glass today. And the downstream side is taking on a nice autumnal glow. 010
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 21/09/2026I had terrible signal problems at the South Health Campus when I was on Wind Mobile (or whatever they are called now). Switched providers and it improved thing immensely. 010
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Great day in #YYC for a bike ride. And I got to watch the Calgary Fire Department practicing rescues off the back of the Glenmore Dam. Neat-o 030
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 19/09/2026If you finish off a roll of aluminum foil, or saran wrap, and you don't make trumpety sounds through the empty tube, who are you really? 001
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 19/09/2026"Sea of Charms" by @sarahbethdurst.bsky.social is beautiful. A smile-on-your-face read. 072
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Not a lawyer but I was executor for both my parents and an heir (along with my siblings). 021
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 16/09/2026It amazes me that David Byrne is still creating A+ music. I am grateful. 000
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Hey @rottentomatoes.com can you to start tagging which movies are using AI? Would be quite useful. 000
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Argh, you're gonna make me choose? Hmmm, Bottomhead. Ready with the wisdom when you least expect it. And I identify with his joy of the simple things in life. Scritches and food. 110
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 07/09/2026"The Dragon Has Some Complaints" by @wiswell.bsky.social is delightful. Warm and funny. 5/5 dragons awarded. 1122
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Coyote VS Acme is probably the most fun you will have at the movies this year. It's great. A pox on anyone that was involved in trying to shelve this gem. 010
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 03/09/2026Finished the 9th Rivers of London book, "Amongst Our Weapons", by @benaaronovitch.bsky.social How can each book be better than the last? Seems impossible, but it's true. 000
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 27/08/2026Bloody Mary people just don't know. You might look at a Bloody Mary and think, "Maybe I'll have one of those". But when you see someone else getting a Caesar there is no 'maybe'. You are having a Caesar. 140
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 25/08/2026I'll (try to) resist the temptation to complain about the state of the world, and instead just say how blessed we all were to have Dolly Parton among us. 000
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 25/08/2026Really enjoyed "The The Last Contract of Isako" by @fondalee.bsky.social. Nice and twisty. And fantastic narration by the always superb @maryrobinettekowal.com 0161
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 17/08/2026I've read and enjoyed a couple of Kate Quinn's historical fiction books. So I wasn't sure what to expect from her non-historical "The Astral Library". It's a fun and very satisfying read. 010
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 15/08/2026In "Murder and the Missing Treasure" by @cjarcher.bsky.social Cleo once again saves the day. But more importantly she says the word "discombobulated". You can't go wrong with that kind of action. 000
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 06/08/2026"The Golden Enclaves" by @naominovik.bsky.social was a great ending to the Scholomance series. Every book was a banger from the first page to the last. 000
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 06/08/2026"Moss'd in Space" by @rebeccathorne.bsky.social is a whole bunch-o-fun, and a delightful read. Warm like a blanket made of Moss. I can't wait for the next in the series. 010

Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 27/07/2026Just finished the fun romp that is "The Feywild Job" by @clpolk.com. Here's hoping that Timtim gets his own adventure. 011
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 20/07/2026Just finished "The Healing Hippo of Hinode Park" by Michiko Aoyam. And it wasn't until near the end of one of the stories that I realized it directly related to what I was going through. So epiphany achievement unlocked. Also, it's a good book. 000
Rico @rhci.bsky.social · 17/07/2026I thought they did a fair treatment of the story. And it was a lot of fun. Critics shot it down months (or was it years) before it was released. 0170
