The EU Single Market is one of the greatest achievements of mankind and, having helped to create it, Britain should be part of it.

It really is time for the media to ignore Tr**p completely.

It's all so predictable. He's past his peak, as they say. They really believe that this is what the majority secretly think but instead they are constantly shrinking their electoral base.

I'm with you - real vanilla is wonderful. My favourite is a real crème anglaise with a suitable dessert.

This a million times. People of colour being dragged on to debate maniacs about imaginary labels & race science is an abomination. proper ‘how German are you’ Nazi shit Note that people like me with white migrant parentage never asked to defend our identity Englishness. Is. A. Made. Up. Thing

Dear tv and radio producers. Thankyou for the invitation. But, no, I do not want to appear on your show to defend the idea that I am English, after 50 years of living and working here, because the increasingly feral right want to turn this into a "debate" and you cannot see how you're being played

I'm troubled by the lack of simple arithmetic being used with some of these valuations. Any sizeable company valued at 10x revenue is powered by steam and FOMO and nothing else. 2x is a real stretch with real world margins.

I'd like to see the total cost of each BBC radio programme as a proportion of total spending. These talk/panel shows cost next to nothing.

Hey folks. In total honesty my tour is NOT selling well. I’ve sold 30 tickets in a 400 seater in Birmingham, and not much more elsewhere. If you like musical comedy, if you like standup, then please come see my show! And spread the word! The Rachel Parris Songbook tour starts in Nov! Link in bio! 🎶

There's a word in German for this phenomenon - "Knäckebrottelefonierer" which means 'crispbread phoning'. It also helps to use the phone as nature intended if it's the right way up.

It's because they've bet the store on it and already realise that they aren't going to win their collective gamble. Desperate doesn't begin to cover it.

As a student in the seventies I used to lug my stuff from Kings X to Paddington and back and never realised that Paddington had two Circle line stations. I only realised about two years ago. It would have been so much easier.

I worked bars as a student and it was only because we had to walk around rather than stand in one place that I could stand it. I was sub-21. A ghastly and ridiculous policy.

It's probably a very poor analogy but I see the UK/Celtic isles as a prototype for the US. The key to its success in many fields is it's relative blindness to race and culture. These people have lost the plot and will be overrun by history.

Top tip - fit solar panels if you possibly can. We pay literally nothing for electricity and that's including charging an EV. I live in the dreary UK too.

I started my first company in the early eighties and remember calling a small engineering company to ask for a quote to have some parts made. The fella who answered apologised but told me that the company was closing the following day due to the collapse in orders.

My first vote was in the '79 general election. It was peculiar to live through the Thatcher revolution as the country was pretty disfunctional in those days (6 months to get a phone line etc.) but the chaos has left a great deal of deep seated damage.

I attended an investor day earlier this year in connection with work as a charity and this slide made everyone sit up. Unless a huge proportion of US GDP ends up being spent on these gadgets it's just not going to work.

When I sold my business to private equity it was making 22% net profit, had no debt and 6 months forward order book. We had to use every trick in the book to sell it for five and a half times profit. The so-called analysts don't seem to be very good at analysis.
