Dorchester people, look! I’ve written a 15-minute piece called Ooser, performed by Dom Phillips – a one-man play, talk, lecture, rant type thing about the famous mystery head.  Saturday 10th Oct, 11.45am Community Space, Dorset Museum FREE!  Part of @scriptsthething.bsky.social

Added my story from our most recent @generalwitch.bsky.social zine to my Medium page. You can read my three short weird/horror stories to date here (or just buy the zines): medium.com/@rosscleaver...
A digital illustration titled ‘chorus’, creating a vivid pictorial representation of sound against a dark, atmospheric background. It features three birds rendered with expressive, sketchy linework and spray-paint textures.
In the upper-left, a vibrant orange and red songbird sings with its beak wide open, its voice visualised as a bright, multi-coloured explosion of pink, yellow, and green paint. A speech bubble containing a musical eighth note floats above it.
Below, a large black crow leans forward, its open beak interacting with the colourful stream of sound. A second speech bubble beneath it contains a more complex, jagged sequence of musical notes, representing a different sonic tone.
To the right, a darker grey bird is depicted mid-flight, its wings spread wide as it moves through the shadows. The entire piece relies on a striking contrast between the moody darkness and the bursts of vivid, chaotic colour to bring the abstract concept of sound to life.

Having a sort out this weekend. I will be sharing some of my precious things (mostly books) and also selling some that I don’t have room for. Keep checking in for some treasures. 🧵 To start, here’s my Dark Darzet shelf.
A shelf filled with a collection of non-fiction books, primarily focused on folklore, local history, and the paranormal. Many of the spines feature titles related to Dorset and British curiosities, including Mysterious Dorset, The Stone Circles of the British Isles, and Treasures of Britain. The books vary in size and age, with some older hardcovers mixed in with modern paperbacks. Below the main shelf, a row of DVDs is partially visible.
