Anywho. Being a BW in a position of authority can be really - unfairly - tenuous in a lot of cases. I think that's where that overbearingness comes from. No matter how good at what they're doing they are, they tend to be criticized more harshly and given less grace than just about anyone. I get it.

Just watching some old college highlights. You know what stuck/sticks out so much about AI's game? How often he attacked the rim jumping off two feet. That's probably why he was such a good finisher, without being super tall. That level of control + athleticism is STILL rare to see.

Hm. I've thought about this a lot. I'm off the opinion that HS sets a good bit of *trajectory* for a lot of people, but they aren't all "set" by that point. I think parenthood is the more solid marker that causes people to stop maturing, but that's another thread entirely.

Correct. At a certain point, I get the impression they know they’re the drama. If you watch, you’ll see that when there isn’t any, they start some. Then the feedback loop starts. Even a dog can be conditioned by the response to repeated stimuli. That’s the telltale sign to me.
