Apparently lots of accounts are buggered at the moment, I'm not sure how it works that one of mine is fine but the other isn't, but guess I'm posting from here for a bit!

Stuart. @revisitation.bsky.social · 03/03/2026

So, anyone got any idea what's happening with my main account? On the app and browser, nothing (no posts, no images, no followers) is showing up, but I can still switch to this account and see everything there as it should be. It's... odd.

The Inflatable Dalek Bluesky page as seen from my app, with zero followers and following and the images blank.

Though I hate that every break winds up longer than planned, that means no Revisitation this week either, just not in the mood for it.

Stuart. @revisitation.bsky.social · 06/06/2025

Ahhhaaaa, realised that, just assuming it was the next one in the Infestation style crossovers, I'd checked the date it came out, but not the year. X-Files/TF is actually a 2014 book. Which means, the next RID will be the real next Revisitation. And that there will indeed be a week's break.

And yes, I am doing the X-Files crossover next, having nearly forgotten it because I never put it on the Revisitation Master List. Technically, it should be an addendum as it's not main canon. But it's a sequel to stories that are main canon (but weren't at the time), so that's my fudge.

This week's reading is the Nick Roche Spotlight Megatron! Probably the most overlooked bit of Roche work, it tends to be remembered in terms of Don Figuroa's complaint that Hasbro had no more legal right to turns Bomber Megatron into a toy than IDW had to use it in the comic in the first place.

Stealth Bomber Megatron strolls down a corridor with Soundwave at his side in Nick Roche art from Spotlight Megatron.

Because I'm settled into someone asking this every few months (so, there's an interest, Skybound!), I'll say now publicly to save time later: I don't have full scans of the Titan Transformers comic, and my scanner not being quite large enough would make it difficult and time-consuming to do so.

One fun challenge this week is the site I get my IDW scans from seems to have had the MTMTE (and only MTMTE, did @speedfreak01.bsky.social do this?) links taken down. (To be clear, I've brought all of IDW at least twice, and MTMTE 3 times. The pirate versions were just easier to grab images from)

Stuart. @revisitation.bsky.social · 22/05/2025

Doing this week's reading early because I've got a busy social Friday and there's a text story to do as well. It's the pub crawl breather issue, notable for giving everyone their easily cosplayable at Auto Assembly holoavatars. Very cheeky to be talking about Mary Sues and drawing Rewind Robertsy.

A bunch of Lost Light crewmembers holo avatars, including a suspiciously James Roberts looking Rewind in a Divine Comedy tshirt as Rung talks about having been given the name "Mary Sue."

It's time to turn the spotlight on the blue Seeker (no, not that one. Or that one), as we get an insight into what he thinks of war crimes (it makes him sad to commit them). All this and Bumblebee's amazing early leadership in my look at #IDW #Transformers #comics Spotlight Thundercracker!

This week's reading is the solid meat and potatoes Spotlight Thundercracker, most memorable for Boss Bludgeon.

Small update, this week has actually been pretty rough for me, in particular with really bad insomnia. So, pushing back the return of Revisitation till the end of March (because I've also realised next weekend is the only one I've got free, so there'd be at least one more skipped one this month).

Writing with Columbo on in the background, and I'm not at an age I have Dick Van Dyke style envy.

This week's reading... One of my favourite silly gags (even if it's another cheat on the head wounds are fatal thing). Also, every time I think we've passed the last insistence of the "Drift as Getaway" idea, we get another moment of Drift acting like Getaway.

Swerve accidentally shoots his own face off whilst looking down the barrel of Whirl's "SHOOM" (the sound effect it makes) gun.

A depressed Chromedome has a voice (later revealed to be Drift) emotionally manipulate him into joining a plot to protect everyone from the Decepticons forever, and to to clmd meet the thing in the basement.

I probably said this back when I covered Megatron: Origin, but this being the cover to Hachette's Megatron: Origin book will never not be hilarious. (Yes, I know Spotlight Blurr is in it as well as the Pax one, but come on Hachette's graphic designer, you had one job)

The Hachette Megatron Origin book, with Blurr on the front.

Stuart. @revisitation.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

This week's reading is probably the most basic (if perfectly fine) thing Roberts ever wrote. A toy pack-in more interesting for being set in the immediate aftermath of a huge story IDW never got round to telling: Pax helping Zeta come to power in a way that completely wrecked his regular body.

Orion Pax chats about going back to his original body, as Zeta Prime looms behind him.

This week's reading, and I think Megatron has taken his diet too far. (I don't remember if this issue is the last time we see Bomber Megs, but it's certainly one of the last times we get a Megatron who's not at least vaguely "Evergreen")

I was a little nervous about Revisitation this week as being back at work means it's all basically had to be done today. But, even if helped by a good chunk of the issue being a heist that, though good, there isn't much to say about, I think I've cracked the being shorter and pithier thing.

Stuart. @revisitation.bsky.social · 17/01/2025

This week's reading... giving us one of the most famous last page reveals in all of Transformers comics, let alone IDW. A (mostly) smart one because the characters in the story all know it, it's only a surprise to the reader.

The mysterious unnamed senator is revealed to be Shockwave on the final page of Shadowplay, his head being swapped for the more familiar one and his body painted purple.
