In Scripture, those who turn executions into public spectacles are not the heroes of the story. Think Nebuchadnezzar. Herod. Saul before his conversion. We follow the publicly executed Jesus, not the powers that executed him. —Rich Villodas

October 4th sermon Paul acknowledges his privileges and inheritance, but it leads him to a different attitude - he sees his abundance as tools for loving generosity in the service of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is exactly what God does for us - She chooses to use it for mercy and love towards us.

The church is not supposed to be this oppressive force that pushes its doctrine on the whole society, but we are, as the church, called to embody God’s love and grace and distribute it to everyone, especially the quartet of the vulnerable: the widows, the orphans, the aliens, and the impoverished.
