Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 19/01/2025Alright #booksky📚💙 another one. She was cute, a little slow on the beginning but deffo held my interest as I read 100 or so pages at a time. I love a book about an oppressed daughter rebelling 🙂↕️ 020
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 09/01/2025Guys I haven’t been updating you on the books I’ve been reading!!! I’ve read 3 so far this year, I just finished this tonight and 10/10 no notes!! #booksky💙📚 #blackbooksky 041
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 03/01/2025I don’t mind. It’s a type of fried fish they eat in Jamaica (probably other islands too). Theres some pictures on this link jamaicanfoodsandrecipes.com/jamaican-esc...jamaicanfoodsandrecipes.comJamaican Escovitch Fish RecipeAuthentic Jamaican Escovitch fish recipe with pickled sauce: INGREDIENTS: 850 g (1.87 lb) Fresh fish, 60 g (2.12 oz) Slice onion, 3 Garlic cl 110
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 03/01/2025It autocorrected I meant escovitch 110
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 03/01/2025Decided to try scotch fish for the first time today and the house isn’t on fire. That’s a win to me. 140
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 01/01/2025The house looks so bare and ugly tf 000
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 01/01/2025I hate taking my Christmas tree down man. It goes right in the back of the cupboard and I have to get everything out 😭 110
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 01/01/2025I realllllyyyyy wish there was more information and discussion about how autism is different from the co-occurring conditions that can come with it, because a lot of people confuse behaviours their child is doing with autistic traits when they aren’t, they’re symptoms of the learning disabilities 041
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 01/01/2025Like a lot of autism parents don’t actually take the time to learn specifically what autism is, especially when their kids have co-occurring conditions. They think that is autism when it’s actually just the way your brain works. If they saw it that way they’d see it in themself 051
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 01/01/2025It’s one YouTuber I watch that I spotted it when she told us she was afraid of the car wash and gets her husband to take the car and now I can’t unsee it at all. I think she can’t see it because her daughter has co-occurring learning disabilities so her perception of autism is skewed 130
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 31/12/2024Insomnia beating my ass today 020
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 30/12/2024How can I introduce more potassium? I had a look and saw banana peels but that seems like more of an outside method. I really want this one to thrive, even if it has to live inside half the year 100
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 30/12/2024I had 10, sadly squirrels ate 9 of them so I brought this one inside to save it. I might add some more next time I get some mangoes. That’s interesting, it may well be a part of the cycle, I’ve only ever seen big mango trees! Thank you 010
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 30/12/2024Mine lives inside atm because I live in the UK and it’s too cold, plus squirrels kept digging the seeds up! I had 10 110
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 30/12/2024I hope my 2025 books read thread will be so much longer than this years #booksky💙📚 021
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 30/12/2024Does anyone know why my mango tree insists on doing this to its leaves, even though it clearly has no intention of dying? #plantsky Can’t wait until summer returns do my babies can go back outside 380

Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 30/12/2024Todays read. I enjoyed this greatly and it was very thought provoking regarding the pile ons that occur online. How we see a snippet of a video and make endless tweets in regard to it, drawing these grand judgements. Really enjoy this author #booksky📚💙 020
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 29/12/2024I play pretend myself all the time and have a very active imagination but when we play, for example, shop, I want to pretend to do things actually like a shop would. We played rocket tonight and I’ll be struggling to get past him not wanting to wear a helmet outside because he’d suffocate and die 110
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 29/12/2024#actuallyautistic just me who struggles with playing pretend with kids? I struggled with it as a kid too so I know it’s not just age. I can play pretend but find myself getting first after they’re playing ‘wrong’ 100
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 29/12/2024#booksky📚💙 #blackbooksky I read this one yesterday and I also really enjoyed it. It felt a little disjointed like collections of stories do to me, but it also felt very comforting reading stories about Jamaica and Jamaicans. Despite it not being my upbringing it felt… familiar. Anyone read this? 030
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 28/12/2024Trying to get through them all in the holidays 010
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 28/12/2024It’s really been slowing me down this month that I got 2 heavy books which I have to return to the library soon. I read a little holiday romance and flew through nearly 400 pages yesterday 110

Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 28/12/2024Hi #booksky📚💙 #blackbooksky Decided to take break from all the heavy books I’ve been reading and read a little Christmas holiday romance and whew. I read the whole book yesterday. It was soooo good, just the right level of cute, if not a little predictable 1182

They could provide a universal basic income, accommodate the needs of disabled people who had been pleading for remote healthcare & other services for years. They could keep us fed, safe and housed 🧵 161052298

Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 24/12/2024It’s literally Apple just with mulled wine spices and some fresh apples. 10/10 130
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 24/12/2024Made an alcohol free mulled cider this year. I’d have never thought of it before but it absolutely delicious. 110
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 24/12/2024What the actual problem is. So for example someone might say something as a joke (towards you), or make a snide comment. It goes past but you feel a little uneasy, but a few days/weeks later you realise it’s because it wasn’t a joke and it hurt your feelings 2/2 110
Your friendly neighbourhood chemist @residentchemist.bsky.social · 24/12/2024It can be a combo of all of the above. With regards to delayed processing it’s like, when you don’t realise what the problem is at the time, or a few days later you’re suddenly annoyed. Sometimes it hard to connect the dots, so you might be immediately annoyed but it’s not until later you realise 1/ 110
