two halves of a GAR medal purchased separately. one half is the eagle-shaped top pin with a decent chunk of the US flag ribbon still attached. the other half is the star-shaped bottom medal which had separated entirely from the ribbon

the top half of the medal. the bronze eagle has a green patina on its body and part of its wing. the flag ribbon attached to it is faded, torn and frayed

the bottom half of the medal. there is also a green patina on the top and middle of the star
