I love making a dish my wife named "Cheesy Squash", which is just squash sliced and sauteed in butter with onions, salt & pepper, and then topped with whatever cheese is on hand until it melts. My in-laws says it's the only way they like squash. #FoodSky

I've been making a sheet pan shrimp dish the last few weeks. You toss the shrimp with oil, oregano, salt and pepper before broiling. Then top it with chopped fresh tomatoes and feta. But shrimp and grits might have just nudged its way onto the menu for next week. #FoodSky #MenuPlan

An old friend passed away yesterday after a courageous battle against cancer. Though we had not spoken in years, she was there when The Hungover Gourmet debuted and was with me on many culinary adventures, road trips, and thrifting excursions. I’ll never forget her. And Fuck Cancer.
