Hell yeah! I would recommend to give the original show a shot. It’s a fantastic sci-fi/war story and I think as a whole it completely holds up as an all-time great despite a few dated elements. And it has a solid dub if that’s something that matters to you.

As someone who's just kinda winged it, I haven't lost my Canadian accent but I have gained some valley girl vocal fry I think it's that I often struggle with straining my voice and by mixing in vocal fry when I have to lower my pitch it feels like I'm preserving the femininity better at that pitch
