For example #strongwilledchild and #purityculture are both movements fueled by fear and prosperity gospel teaching people if they follow subscribed behaviors, god will give them favor and he may remove it if they don’t. It’s intoxicating and pervasive! So I’m adding my voice to the mix #exvangelical

I want to be clear - I know several “Christians” who genuinely do have their eyes open and carry the spirit of Christ within them. But they also intentionally separate themselves from the teachings of fear that are being used to keep people submissive to dangerous belief systems and narratives.

But the worst thing we can do is to just stop growing, put our hands over our ears and eyes and say it’s not happening. It is happening, it was always going to happen, so what are we going to do about it? These crucial moments define our existence and purpose in life.

The cycle through history is defined by opposing forces. All of history has debated the presence of good vs evil. But can one exist without the other? Is our goodness pushed to growth due to the presence of evil? Maybe us sinking into the dark is what eventually brings the light. It’s a cycle!

Yeah that is my thought too - there’s never really been a time in history on this stage of the cycle where so many people from across the world can be connected in real time. It’s both a blessing and a curse. ESPECIALLY when the technology is all controlled by the powers in question 🥲

He’d probably say the same thing about our current environment. With all these ideologies living in our world, there is no way to fully get rid of them. They’ll pop up again somewhere. It’s the constant denial and desire to be “comfortable” that keeps this repeating! He’d be like “did I stutter?”
