Something odd I was thinking. "I had to do X." If you cannot intuit the unsaid words, you are not getting the whole message. Folks often try to correct such statements as if they were complete and thus incorrect, rather than asking for more detail to hear the unsaid parts.

I really wish folks would stop phrasing advice as a "Friendly reminder" It casts the advice as something you should already know, and as such insults those who didn't already know as ignorant.
