Waitlisted from Katsucon, declined from Magfest. The Gaylord cons may hate me but Ice at the Gaylord will never betray me 🥹

As billionaires, the wealthy class and ai tech bros try to privatize knowledge and erase human curiosity, another form of resistance is to stay curious. Do your own research. Do not be spoonfed your ideals or opinions. Use your library. Think for yourself. It's very important that you do.

In my Naruto era again but this time I blame tiktok for this one. #art #fanart #naruto #anime

Doodle of Naruto Uzumaki from the anime series Naruto, blonde haired boy with blue eyes and markings on his face, wearing the hokage's hat. The words say: If you're gonna call me a "Ho" make sure you put "Kage" after it.

While we can point to @aftermath.site and @mothership.blog, they need financial support and a large readership if they're going to spearhead a new wave of old-school games journalism and we need an equivalent for the NSFW games because that coverage is extremely sparse

I got the email this morning. It's.... gosh. Heartbreaking. This capitalism trend of buying companies that are doing FINE, THANK YOU, and then shutting them down because they're not making BILLIONS... Ugh. I hate this. I haaaaaate this.

Treacherous waters await...so join @kobacake.bsky.social, @cdra.bsky.social, @lycheesnake.bsky.social, @tasobi.bsky.social and I for this maritime Gateway Fate stamp rally fresh from the harbor! A purchase at 3 tables will net (haha) you an exclusive tin and 10 fishies caught for seafood dinner! 🎣

Promotional image for Scions of the Seven Seas stamp rally at Gateway Fate. Text reads, "Spend $10 at participating tables and receive a reusable tin packed with the Catch of the Day! (It's Scion stickers. 10 of them.)"

Thancred and Urianger being literal fish is so adorable!

Thank you so much. The secret was the multiple art tutorials that hit my rednote (XHS) account :D

Looking at society now, they will not care until it hurts their bottom line (less active users and foot traffic). We'll see because the news is only now being shared with other people.

Wow... I get that these sites need funding to keep operations afloat especially in this day in age but ethics...

I'm just as confused. bsky.app/profile/raic...

Owners of an art site falling into the psuedo-religious cult pipeline is wild

Apparently they sent an email to users about an art contest and apart of the terms of the contest to attend an annual awards ceremony and illustrator workshop with travel and publication in the Writers of the Future anthology, which is affiliated with the Church of Scientology....

It's been awhile since I drew something personally. So here is a simple Selune doodle. Next time, I'll draw Nair (I miss drawing her) #art #moth #originalcharacter #doodle #OCSky

Doodle of Selune, a moth girl with light brown eyes, white hair, antennae on the top of her head and moth wings as ears. She is smiling endearingly.

After CSP took down my brush multiple times, I knew better to not use their assets store uploads again but it does suck that many useful resources were obviously removed due to either pressure from credit card processors or moderation through AI. Blaming intl users for what happened is vile.

My Tapas Exodus Platform Recommendations in Least → Most Talked About Order (try out the uncommon choices why not): • leaflet.pub — Because they made it way better for comic pagination and archive pages • namicomi.com — Comic-centric one • comicfury.com — Well respected & Good/long history

leaflet.pub

Leaflet — social publishing on the Atmosphere

A simple and powerful platform for social publishing — blogs, newsletters, and more!

While I see where they are coming from with anti-piracy, it doesn't help that there are comics, comments and other stuff would become lost media...

I feel like having a place to store your own comic is the way to go now. For beginners, thankfully there are sites for self publishing and hosting but really, we all need a website. That is the only way to preserve that kind of media.

With Tapas shutting down, it literally gave me the motivation to create a NamiComi account. I stated yesterday in my update, I am planning to do some oneshot comics going into next year. While Tapas was considered to be my go to, alas these companies ruin everything for the sake of capital.
