Weird, disturbing dreams every night. Waking unsettled in the early hours of every morning. So tired. So tired.

I dreamed I was a student again. I dreamed I was in a furniture shop buying furniture for a new flat…..and I saw a beautiful piano. I woke thinking of someone I knew in my student days. Someone Zi always thought I would meet again - but I didn’t. We make our own closure, right?

While Christopher Nolan and THE ODYSSEY get their entirely predictable glazing from Western media, keep in mind what its like when this circus leaves a town where holding a camera is much more dangerous when you're not a famous white dude with a fat chequebook. www.theguardian.com/film/2026/ju...

The decision to shoot in Moroccan-occupied Western Sahara, where the Indigenous people can’t tell their stories without fear of imprisonment, helps erase our own brutal journey

It’s been a tough month. Our cat, Stevie, died at the start of the month, and then, a couple of weeks later, my father-in-law died. We just came back from the funeral and stuff. We hadn’t even had the time or energy to unwrap Stevie’s ashes after we picked them up. 😔

In spite of an overwhelming number of public submissions opposing this bill National MPs Catherine Wedd, Grant McCallum, Ryan Hamilton and David MacLeod plus ACT MP Cameron Luxton have recommended it be passed by parliament. This is not democracy. Vote them out #nzpol

And though I am happy they are moving, I will not forget how late they are. And I will not forget the role the media had in this. Some of our governments are not moving yet. And those of us who live in these countries…….we still have a lot of work to do. (2)

Kirsten @reflecteddreams.bsky.social · 14/04/2026

So, some of our western governments are starting to move. They are late. Really late. They did not move until after Gaza was destroyed. Until the Zionist entity was trying to do the same to Lebanon. Until Iran stood up to them. (1)

Notice how Peters & Rubio talk about the US assault on Iran and the ‘fuel crisis’ as if it’s something Iran is responsible for and they try to manufacture outrage at Iran’s ‘illegal behaviour’. StuffNZ enables this by reporting it all as accepted fact. #nzpol www.stuff.co.nz/politics/360...
