You're insane. Few games have inspired controller crushing anger in me like this series... And yet, I can't let go of them.

I genuinely liked the idea, but the limited time thing was kind of a huge miss. It makes achievements powered by FOMO, rather than a desire to master a game. Also, no way to easily share or compare with friends? Hopefully they bring it back and just keep it, alongside some Zelda and Mario sets.

You can play this game with a digital mixer, if you want a really dumb way to justify buying a $300 mixer. 🙃

Makes sense! If you’re looking for expanding your coverage (and hopefully, income) mainstream platforms will server you better, as long as you’re willing to play their game. A new platform has its advantages though, and could help you make a tighter knit community.

AltStream is a cool concept but the naming is a bit unfortunate, because the first question I get every time I bring it up is if it has to do with the Alt Right… 😓

011

ReefSnax 🪸🦈 Gym Leader VTuber @reefsnax.pikaparty.social · 04/10/2026

The vibe I’ve gotten is that people are streaming on AltStream, instead of Twitch - not alongside it. It’s less about having more surface area to get viewers, and more about moving away from the problematic side of large platforms. I’d check it out, regardless!

Anyone can beat a game, and more dedicated players can 100% it if they really want to... but it takes a special type of stupid to have a Toad kill you underneath Isle Delfino. Absolutely LOVE doing these glitch cheevos on RetroAchievements!

The absolute state of gaming in the big 2026

Playstation, Xbox, and Epic Games send themselves back to the lobby with baffling business decisions, while Steam is executed by AI tech giants. Nintendo sits in the middle, confused and contemplating how it will live up to Playstation and Xbox's legendary failures.

ReefSnax 🪸🦈 Gym Leader VTuber @reefsnax.pikaparty.social · 30/09/2026

I'm forced to use AI every day for my work. I understand how the technology works. This kind of stuff looks more impressive than it is, but it's always a clunky dumpster fire of messy, over-commented code, and they'll stop updating or fixing bugs within a month because of token costs.

020

ReefSnax 🪸🦈 Gym Leader VTuber @reefsnax.pikaparty.social · 30/09/2026

This goes back to the very beginning of the brain deterioration that most AI bros suffer from: that quantity matters over quality. They mistake "wow factor" for quality, they conflate token usage with hard work, and they assume all attention they get is good.
