Lancastrians reject the Mariah Carey Christmas Threshold Event. We have our own.
A huge stack of Christmas catalogues for the proper spenny posh food shop Booths, which has premises primarily in Lancashire and offers delicious treats at eye-watering prices. Their Reduced To Clear fridge is a goldmine of obscure cheeses, delicious local desserts, occasionally the best butter pie in the land, and other over-priced sundries.

What appears to be the only vaguely substantive piece of evidence to support the BBC's shrieking headline... Followed immediately by the begrudging acknowledgement that the report also states that the data the "true" level of autism is based on is out of date and conclusions can't be drawn from it.
A screenshot from the BBC article:

It said there was a risk society was now moving from an era of under-diagnosis to over-diagnosis or mis-diagnosis, pointing to data showing more than 4% of children aged six to 17 were now diagnosed with autism, well above the 1-2% that studies suggest is the true level.

But it said because some of these figures date back nearly a decade it was not possible to be absolutely certain or conclude over-diagnosis was currently occurring at scale.

Difficult not to conclude here that by front loading the idea of "labels harming prospects" the BBC wishes to strongly imply that it's *diagnosis* that is the cause of future difficulties faced by those with autism and ADHD, rather than the conditions themselves and lack of support.
Screenshot from BBC article that reads:

The experts said too often diagnoses of mental health problems and ADHD and autism were ending up as labels that defined people by their "difficulties rather than their strengths and potential", harming their prospects at school, in work and in relationships.

Children diagnosed with autism and ADHD before the age of 17 are around four times more likely to end up not in education, employment or training between 16 and 24.

Ironically, people claiming that the Greens are reaping the results of "Corbynist infiltration" aren't far off the mark, they just seem to have misunderstood what that means. Let's see what the effect of Corbynism has been on Holborn electorally, shall we?

Northern version:
A mockup of a London Underground station sign. A red rondel with a white centre. A blue bar extends horizontally across the middle with the word "London" in white capital letters. A question mark and exclamation mark have been added, along with asterisks at the beginning and end to indicate it is to be read with a shocked and slightly horrified incredulity, in the manner of a northerner responding correctly to the very notion of visiting this nation's capital.

He's had a lovely time on the character creation screen, and has created this beauty. I have watched over this process with a bittersweet enjoyment. Knowing this joy will be fleeting.
An upper body and head shot of a video game character with light grey skin, a washed-out pinkish bob and muttonchops moustache. The face is comically, even grotesquely, narrow and thin, with odd sized eyes.

Labour not beating any accusations here.
A screenshot of a Wikipedia entry. The text reads:

"Sippenhaft

Sippenhaft or Sippenhaftung (German: [ˈzɪpənˌhaft(ʊŋ)], kin liability) is a German term for the idea that a family or clan shares the responsibility for a crime or act committed by one of its members, justifying collective punishment.[1][2] As a legal principle, it was derived from Germanic law in the Middle Ages, usually in the form of fines and compensations. It was adopted by Nazi Germany to justify the punishment of kin (relatives, spouse) for the offence of a family member. Punishment often involved imprisonment, and was applied to relatives of the conspirators of the failed 1944 bomb plot to assassinate Hitler."

If you're interested (and I know you were all waiting on tenterhooks), I opted for this classic Emma Ruth Rundle top.
An upper body shot of a bearded white man wearing a black, long-sleeved t-shirt. The design on the front is a white print of a skull, with the name Emma Ruth Rundle surrounding 3 sides of the skull. Down the sleeve there are symbols of scales, skulls with wreaths and triangles.

I mean...
American planes bombed “everything that moved in North Korea, every brick standing on top of another,” said Dean Rusk, the State Department official in charge of east Asia at the time. A Soviet study later estimated that 85 percent of structures in the country were leveled. Some 32,000 tons of the bombs dropped were napalm, the jellied gasoline incendiary weapons that burst just above ground level and stick to human flesh.

"We . . . eventually burned down every town in North Korea," Gen. Curtis LeMay, who headed the Strategic Air Command, later boasted to Air Force historians. "Over a period of three years or so we killed off, what, 20 percent of the population of Korea, as direct casualties of war or from starvation and exposure?"

Come on now lads, this isn't an homage, this is just cheap.
A screenshot of two film posters, one for yet another Jason Statham vehicle "Mutiny" and the other for the Bruce Willis classic festive family romp "Die Hard". The posters are near identical black and white images of a tall/long structure with coloured fire at the top, and a half face shot of the protagonist alongside. The wording and format (and implied plot) of each poster is near identical, to the point where it is undeniably deliberate. A generous person might consider this a respectful nod, I see outrageous cash-in, if not full-on plagiarism.

I love that my new ADHD medication comes with instructions on how to trick yourself into taking it like an uncooperative dog.
A photo of the instructions for taking medication:

Take Elvanse in the morning before breakfast. It can be taken with or without food.

There are two ways to take Elvanse:

Swallow the capsule whole with a drink of water

Open the capsule and empty the contents into:

Soft food such as yogurt

A glass of water or orange juice

Use a spoon to break up any bits and stir the Elvanse and yogurt, water or orange juice until they are completely mixed together. Eat all the yogurt or drink all the water orange juice immediately after mixing with Elvanse.
