Skydance now owns Nick, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Comedy Central, and MTV, effectively ending US TV animation as we know it. Countless jobs will be lost, and fewer new shows will be created. An apocalyptic scenario for cartoons, yet it's maybe the 5th-worst thing about the Paramount-WB merger!
![Image of Braixen from the Pokemon anime with a speech bubble edited in at the bottom. Braixen is a relatively short, anthro/bipedal fox-like Pokemon, who's fur spreads out into a skirt shape at their hips. In the quoted post is a screenshot of a tumblr post by user ashes2caches which reads "the nefarious transgender witch woman has cursed me into the body of a four foot tall antropometric [sic] fox with fat hips. presumably as a reward." The speech bubble placement is meant to look like the Braixen is saying the text from the quoted post.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:5hpmmiu2tm33ykrcztlwvquw/bafkreigapuv3mfrhurr3k3ky5gnxupbgqbwuahqeyplglkldgvoftxqih4)
