I also just think strategically all this tone policing and condescension from people like Will Stancil does is shield candidates from feeling pressure and pushback. It would be better if the candidates WERE worried about getting our votes!!

it feels like Marathon may have fared better if there had been a bigger marketing push. it needs a certain critical mass of casuals to prevent the sweatier aspects of gameplay from becoming overbearing

I think it's good that Bungie was able to make this strange and at times harsh game for sickos. frankly I'm surprised they were allowed to, but forcing them to only do "what people wanted" is not how I want things to work
