all in all, I'm still proud of it, even if I'm not necessarily proud of some of the people on it it's serving its purpose, to introduce people to RP, to get feet wet, and to hopefully make connections I often wish that people would look at RP more as storytellers instead of quick ERP sessions

I purposely made it an open world RP spot because there's no way for a FFXIV RPer to moderate an open world RP spot; you can't ban someone from the location, quite literally cannot block someone from the whole community but with that came problems. something for everyone is something for no one.

more accurately, I was terrified. I'd come from games where people "claim" open world RP spots, then dominate it, make rules, and blacklist you if you don't bend to said rules I didn't want to become like that, a tyrant over a stupid bunch of pixels. So I tried to balance. I didn't ostracize ANYONE

fighting people one on one turned into people waiting to fight Daegan out there and people waiting to fight just fought each other. it turned from one person to three to twenty, and I swore to myself I wouldn't make a discord and make it a "thing"; I had no interest in leading it

You can also bake into an immortal, depending on their personality, that they WON'T say whatever's on their mind because they've been doing it for 500+ years and good god, no one fucking listens/cares/everyone argues/etc. I wish you the best of writing and look forward to how you play it

we almost had this same incident verbatim, except we learned that the artist in question had THREE years of like... Half-done comms? would finish some, then open emergency comms, and ignore the rest without any communication tbh, curious if it's the same person
