"You can't imagine the woke youngsters of today being much use at the D-Day landings!" You can't imagine the older sorts who say crap like this being much use at D-Day either. They clearly lack the wherewithal to operate a machine gun nest.

What is happening now is completely and depressingly predictable.

I carve the wood to fit with a power tool. You can then use wood glue. I go a bit nuts though and use epoxy resin to cement it on but I'm not entirely convinced that this isn't overkill.

I'm jealous. I love silver birch. The advice on linseed oil is also good too.

The bark is one of the nicest features. You can carve into it if you like but I think you would regret removing it. I use Danish oil for hazel or blackthorn sticks, but I would use Beeswax for this or ash.

The way they are so brazenly open made me think about it as a display of power when I think about how the police secretly infiltrated left wing activists and deceived all those women. Reform don't have to concern themselves with consequences.

It's a bet. They can chuck the capital at making something shiny fast enough to build their reputations fast enough to get the next hit and move on before something blows up. This bet is smart because customers increasingly expect shitty products and it takes time for most risks to crystallise.
