MLK quote for this morning "If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”

As a blind dude, your images mean nothing to me without an alt-text description. I know it’s a pain & I have zero expectations of you using this #Accessibility tool so thoughtfully provided by #BlueSky but I appreciate every effort. It doesn’t have to be The Great Gatsby but please include me 😎

Melania’s $40m Amazon deal: another sign Bezos is capitulating to Donald Trump | Margaret Sullivan

Sadly, the Amazon-Melania deal has much the same flavor as the rest of Trump appeasement moves – not just by Bezos but by others of his ilk

Republicans are one step closer to stealing an election. The North Carolina Supreme Court has blocked the certification of Democratic Justice Allison Riggs’ victory in November despite two recounts verifying her win. REPOST if you stand with Justice Riggs against the GOP!

Light is the left hand of darkness and darkness the right hand of light. Two are one, life and death, lying together like lovers in kemmer, like hands joined together, like the end and the way.

The press needs to be clearly called racist for giving any credence to the right blaming everything on hiring black and brown people. Fuck this. Ask them to name individual people and what they did to fail at their job and verify it, otherwise your only report should be “elected official is racist”.

Democrats are in the woods here. We lost to Trump again, and we need to give our leaders space to make mistakes and try to reach new audiences and win. AOC will go in her direction, Fetterman will go in his—but we’re all on the same side. Coalition politics is hard. Let’s not lose sight of the goal.

we had to bring our big boy to the vet today as he's got something going on with his left back leg... I am a mess and waiting for him to be back home (I had to work so I couldn't go with them). Please send good vibes for Murray. He's a sweet baby and we need him to be OK. #catsofbluesky #cats

The real story is very intense!

Mr T: I think about my father being called "boy", my uncle being called "boy", my brother, coming back from Vietnam and being called "boy". So I questioned myself: "What does a black man have to do before he's given respect as a man?" So when I was 18 years old, when I was old enough to fight and die for my country, old enough to drink, old enough to vote, I said I was old enough to be called a man. I self-ordained myself Mr. T, so the first word out of everybody's mouth is "Mr."

Thanks to one disastrous 2010 Supreme Court ruling, wealthy mega-donors, corporations, and special interest groups have been able to influence elections when that power should belong with the American people. It is time to return power to the people, and overturn Citizens United once and for all.
