There's an article I'm struggling to find now, that explains how LLMs perform addition by using multidimensional matrix operations to essentially work their way from the concepts of "two" plus "three" to "five". IMO that multidimensional matrix modelling of ideas is crucial to getting how AI works.

This kind of sentiment always surprises me, because I grew up in Yugoslavia in the 90s, and saw what a very-recently-industrialized society looked like. In some of the most rural villages, people lived in much the same way as they did prior to WW2, in the manner of an agrarian society.

I think there's some tenuous arguments that one could make for why a technology like Flock should exist (I wouldn't personally), but I think it hinges on a fundamental assumption that cops treat it with the respect and caution it deserves. They obviously don't, and therefore shouldn't have it.

Sometimes it really knocks me for a loop how powerful AI tools are. The prompt that preceded this: "create two local DBs from this dump file, then run two different versions of this customer import script, stand up a these four apps, and then walk through testing the customer in my browser".
