Abstraction isn’t necessarily a 1:1 allegory for death by suicide so much as it’s like losing oneself in any kind of mental health spiral, including addiction. How everyone visits Jax and the other abstractions also reminds me of visiting a loved one in long-term care or inpatient treatment.

This is the USS Somerset, which is named for Somerset County in Pennsylvania. It is where United Airlines flight 93 crashed on September 11th 2001 and the ship is dedicated to the victims of that fated aircraft. I will have the opportunity to tour this navy ship in just a few minutes!!!

The buildings which most of my high school classes took place are now completely torn down. I am sad knowing a place where many memories (both good and bad) is gone for good, but at the same time excited for what lies ahead. It's a bittersweet feeling for me. 🥲
