Megatron into Galvatron there's a case to be made isn't a huge difference but the other ones are nearly new characters altogether. We don't know a lot about how TF are created, maybe this is part of their life cycle 120

It may be easier making editor-friendly anthology pieces, but there's no guarantee - so if all bets are longshots why not write the thing that you are driven to write and is perhaps the story you are natively better at telling. 3/3 110

This chestnut got started because editors were inundated with saga pitches which are hard to market even for established writers. Small anthology pieces are easier to place... 1/3 110
