A story in 3 parts from the good ol' Twitter days. #ReBoot

A photo of action figures of Dot Matrix and Megabyte from ReBoot. Dot is sat in Megabyte's lap. Text above them from an old Twitter post by Jurious reads "Had them out for refs and left them sat by my bed. Glanced at them now and realised they look so posed. It's like the cheesiest pic ever. 😅 Such grins."

A reply to the Twitter post in the previous picture. Reply is from Twitter User @Battycakes1 and reads "He looks blazed out of his capacitors and she looks like she just took a hit offs day magnet and I just can't XP"

Digital sketch by Jurious of Megabyte and Dot Matrix from ReBoot, inspired by previous photo and Twitter response. Dot is sat in Megabyte's lap with a bottle of what looks like alcohol in her hand. Megabyte is smoking a spliff. Dot is smiling drunkly and Megabyte is laughing with eyes and mouth wide, appearing high.

ReBoot - "Sacrifices": Okay, now I've seen the whole thing. That was an incredibly heartbreaking episode to watch. ...but it ends with a WTF of an ending that makes the episode challenging to evaluate on its own merits. I had someone advise I not watch past this point, but I need some resolution.

They say that 1939 Britain stood alone against a despot. That's not true. Canadian kids were signing up in the thousands. We were there to defend British skies. Now Canada stands alone in the face of despotism.and there is crickets from our European allies. But we've got this. Canada. #strongasfuck

ReBoot - "Showdown": Is it wrong if my favorite part of the episode is the honage to "The Search for Spock?" A good episode otherwise, though it invokes at least one really bad trope. I'll be curious to see what events here mean for Hex, and whether we ever see Megabyte again.

Scrolling through all my #Reboot fanfic-based sketches on Tumblr so thought I'd air some of them over here. Conceptual weirdness for stuff I'm still no way near writing.

ReBoot fanfic conceptual fanart. Four of Hexadecimal's masks frame the image of Dot, Megabyte and the artist's OC Codec in the middle. They appear to be falling. Dot has a wound to her belly, Megabyte is slashing Codec's face.

/"So what's your name?" The baby's wide red eyes locked with Enzo's. Enzo nodded and smiled again. "Codec? That's a cool name. Welcome to the Matrix family, Codec." He paused suddenly. "Wait." He looked away, then looked back at the child. How…? "Dot!" he shouted./ (Some notes I found.)

ReBoot: "Number 7" - What must kids make of episodes like this? I found it disturbing and I haven't been a kid in a very long time. It's the best insight into Hot!Enzo's psyche that we've had so far, though I did kind of like the premise that someone actually made a ReBoot game that they were in.

ReBoot: "Icons" - The last few minutes of the last episode and the first few minutes of this episode are just devastating. Just how much subjective time did elapse? Because it looks like decades, and the amount of PTSD Enzo must be dealing with is ridiculous. Kudos to TPTB for taking risks!

ReBoot: "Game Over" - Well, that was. I'm going to need a bit of time. I saw enough of the next episode to know that everything's just changed. Masterful use of dropping the sound out at the right time. I imagine this may have left kids crying. It's a whole new game now.

Someone on Tumblr messaged me asking if they could draw Codec then sent me a sketch within an hour or something? It's so cool. There's a cosy feeling when someone likes your OC and creates their own art from them. Thank you, friend. 💚

ReBoot: "Firewall" - What a great episode! I've got to wonder what kids thought who saw this before they ever saw a James Bond film, heh. The opening credits were delightful, and I know there's more like it to come (I once saw the "Pirates of Penzance" bit). Removing Bob is yielding dividends.

ReBoot: Saw the end of S2 and beginning of S3. Some pretty ballsy plot developments, especially if you feel that Bob is the protagonist of the series. AndrAIa isn't really working for me, I think because the digital processing on her voice makes it kind of grating to me. The concept itself is fine.
