Renting over here is so much better than Ireland, to be clear, and I've had an overwhelmingly positive experience, BUT - my landlord tried to increase our rent by 9% last to "keep with market rates" ahead of rent controls - we moved out and got a cheaper place - they haven't got new tenants yet
