BUDGET DUE MONDAY! CALL NOW!
DON'T LET THEM BAN MASKS IN NY
Governor Hochul is still trying to force an anti-mask law into the New York state budget - and the deadline is Monday night.
Our calls are working, but we need more calls TODAY, especially from upstate NY. Now's the time to call your state reps to say NO MASK BAN.

If you want to help disabled people fight New York's proposed mask ban... wear a mask. If more people would mask up in solidarity, these important accessibility tools would be harder to ban. Help us normalize masking and protect your health in the process!

New Yorkers, please call your state reps and ask them to oppose the mask ban. Don't assume it can't happen here. Don't give police the power to judge who has a "legitimate reason" to mask.

Abled friends: PLEASE wear a mask on public transit and in healthcare settings. Your solidarity (or lack of it) could determine whether we are allowed to exist at all.

If I could help non disabled people understand one thing about being disabled, it would be how important maintaining a baseline is. When you’re chronically ill, your baseline is everything. Even minor setbacks can be catastrophic, so we have to do a risk analysis before literally ANY activity 🧵

After years of being a very casual birdwatcher, I finally got the eBird app this year and started to record my sightings. I don’t get out nearly as much as I would like, but I’ve managed to see 72 species this year, all within a 1.5 mile area of Brooklyn.
Screenshot of my eBird app, showing 72 species for 2024 and 31 for November alone.
