Right? I say it all the time and usually get pushback that I’m not giving myself enough credit. Believe me I have a healthy ego and know I am smart, capable, determined etc but nah, so are plenty of others. It’s mostly luck. And I think it’s important to acknowledge that.

Darline Graham, new Republican candidate for Senate in South Carolina, told a crowd last night that government-run health care is a terrible idea and then told everyone her parents had to work at their liquor store even if they were sick, and her mother and father died when she was 11 and 12, respectively. My TBR pile is all pre-pub, so they are in three stacks arranged by date: thrillers; general fic (meaning all other genres than thrillers) and nonfic. My keeper shelves are arranged purely by vibes 😂 but I do keep authors together and make a vague attempt at genre grouping.
