Just been told that when our new kitchen gets put in, because they have to fix the electrics in there first, we’re just not going to have any electricity for like a week and so my mum wants me to go somewhere that is not my house 🙃 But I don’t like being places that aren’t my house.

Went to Aldi to do the fortnightly food shop and only almost had an emotional breakdown twice (once at the chicken and once at the cat treats) so… 🙃 I’m now going back to bed to do nothing but watch more Poirot and play more Fields Of Mistria for the rest of the week.

The crematorium people just brought Kisy cat home. At some point her ashes will get buried in the garden with Hina’s so they can be together again. They also did me her paw prints and a little jar of her fur that I will treasure forever.

Suddenly had to say goodbye to this little gremlin this afternoon. And it’s like I’ve forgotten how to breathe. Goodbye, my most perfect little Kisy cat. Nobody in the whole world has ever loved anything more than I love you. Twenty years was such a long time and yet still nowhere near enough.

Kisy cat just slow-motion fell backwards off the bed in her sleep 🙃 thankfully I managed to jump up and catch her so she’s fine and has now just immediately gone back to sleep on me. She’s such a silly billy in her old age!

I don’t know exactly what was in that injection they gave Kisy cat yesterday but she is so much more herself today! I’ve known something was off but cats are such little buggers and hide their pain and discomfort so well. Like, if you let me know you hurt I will do anything I can to make it better!

Back from the vet, with Kisy cat so my brain can shut up with that intrusive thought now thank you! It was supposed to be for her vaccinations but we’ve decided not to do them with her age and almost never leaving the room. We’re basically at quality of life stage for her, but she’s not done yet!

Kisy cat has a step either side of the bed to make it easier for her but for some reason she’s decided the one where there’s only a little gap, where her fountain is, is for wimps and just keeps jumping off the bed. She’s misjudged and stumbled like four times! Baby, please, just use the step! 😬

FINALLY! The time and effort it’s taken me to get vol 1 of A Cat From Our World is kind of ridiculous. Like, 2-5 are super easy to find, everywhere I’ve looked for months and months has had all of them except the first, even used. But I found a single copy in the USA on vinted and now it is mine!

After a few days of her not really wanting to be cuddled, it’s so nice to have my little cuddlebug version of Kisy cat back 🥰 when I woke up this morning she did her regular I shall meow until you wrap me up in your arms for optimal cuddling thing and I was delighted to oblige!

Kisy cat is much more herself today, she’s asked for cuddles multiple times and managed to pee in her litter box more than out of it, and she even ate some of her actual cat food instead of ignoring everything except lick-e-lix and chicken like she had for the past two days.

This little menace. She’s got one permanently mucky front paw at the moment because she wipes her mouth with it, and also falls asleep with it under her chin and then drools on it, but she’s not really able to clean it properly herself anymore so I have to do it but she gets VERY GRUMPY when I do 🙃

Kisy cat is starting to deteriorate. She’s still eating and breathing fine and everything so we’re not at making The Decision yet and hopefully won’t be for a while, but I can see it coming over the horizon and it feels like I’m drowning.

As much as I still wish the Bluey movie was animated in 2D, now I’m over the initial jump scare of not expecting it the animation does look fine and I’m mostly just excited for more Bluey. The mystery of why Kisy cat keeps peeing on the puppy pads under her litter boxes has been solved! Just watched her go over, put her front paws in her litter box, but not her back ones, and then pee 🙃 it doesn’t count as in the litter box if you’re only half in, baby!

I have just remembered the existence of the movie Andre, about a little girl who befriends a seal, which I loved as a child and am now disappointed to learn hasn’t had a uk dvd release. Heartwarming story of the bond between child and animal was my absolute jam as a child. I ate those movies up!

Little Dorrit, complete. Now just Our Mutual Friend left as the only Dickens novel I’ve never read! Well that and Edwin Drood but that’s unfinished. I’m gonna reread Tale Of Two Cities and Great Expectations first but they’re both pretty short for Dickens so I might even manage all four this year!
