Opus 5.5 brings improved writing. Great! We might just be able to go back to reading articles from Callstack, Software Mansion, Margelo, and every other React Native software house who been constantly pushing AI slop writing for the last 12 months.

cursor is not in bsky, so I'm gonna shout at the invisible: why the heck do they need to fetch my stripe profile every 3-5 seconds? meh
a proxy tool showing cursor over-fetching from `/auth/full_stripe_profile` every 2-5 seconds

Now that I have a real job (oh yeah, I got a job) I have to pay more attention to LinkedIn. I hate it. It is just creepy. Everyone is so toxically positive and upbeat. So fake. I can confidently say that it is the worst address book ever.

House sale incoming, which means funds for the homestead starter kit! Spent the day looking up trucks, camera gear, planning tasks, and learning a bit more about floor framing. More fun than programming.

Anyone saying "software engineering was never about writing code" is kidding themselves. A mere attempt at appearing stoic in the face of a complete shitshow that already affected many other industries. It's called hindsight bias and you're not smarter for saying it.

the best thing to come out of the AI era is (some) humans realising how unsustainable making a single burger patty is.

I just optimised the heck out of my company's Maestro E2E tests with EAS workflows. I used a mix of repacking & a few other undocumented optimisations to Android Emulators. Here's what I've done. #expo #reactnative

when is someone gonna tell facebook the marketplace app is absolute garbage performance-wise? M4 max, 64gb. Trying to type a message to a seller, characters take 3 seconds to be computed & reflected into the UI. #fb #react @react.dev

@expo.dev can't find where to report bugs with EAS. Enabling verbose logs in EAS crashes during yarn installation (yarn v4). expo.dev/accounts/one...
