A silver with blue enamel horizontal bar inscribed 'Edgware General Hospital; sits above a round silver medal, joined by a short chain link. The silver medal has a white and red enamel shield. Divided in three 'rectangles, the left is white, the middle (point upwards) is red and the right is white. The top left white section has a red sillouette of a windmill (often used as a local image for the nearby area of Mill Hill). on the right white section is a red silloutette of two crossed quills - or at least the nibs. turns out crossed quills are often a sign of learning and study - much befitting a nursing school. A bit of internet sleuthing took me a long way from my first guess which was - is that a propeller from Hendon? (of course not - definitely windmill sails). And is that some sort of medical needle? (of course not - definitely nibs). So now we know
