rcarcases.bsky.social @rcarcases.bsky.social · 11/07/2025Picked this up last week. I am not a fan of the underground era but I kept hearing Bodé was one of the pillars so I gave it a shot. The restoration and colors are beautiful. @imagecomics.com did an excellent job with this. 000

rcarcases.bsky.social @rcarcases.bsky.social · 30/03/2025Strongly disagree: If you work with young people and sound like an old fart, that is how they are going to treat you. I’m a boomer and this is the most boomer post ever. You have to code switch like black folks do. 010
rcarcases.bsky.social @rcarcases.bsky.social · 28/03/2025When you have friends that have good taste in comics and they all are buying a book, get that book. I read this yesterday. Good horror story with surprisingly bigger themes than just horror. By @bubbleszine.bsky.social and translated by Ryan Holmberg. 010

rcarcases.bsky.social @rcarcases.bsky.social · 16/03/2025Comics podcasts can be so boring when they don’t have an interview yet they don’t have to be. 000
rcarcases.bsky.social @rcarcases.bsky.social · 16/03/2025I listened to”The Awesome Comics Podcast” for the Sean Michael Robinson (“Living the Line”) interview. He spent the first 10 minutes verbally fellating Dave Sim. Now I’m conflicted because I love their Smudge line and supporting Holmberg’s work. I may have to hold my nose for Holmberg’s work. 000
rcarcases.bsky.social @rcarcases.bsky.social · 16/03/2025Listened to a comics podcast for the first time in over a year. It was the “Awesome Comics Podcast” out of the UK. It’s amazing that, regardless of location, all comics podcasts start off with a ‘90s rock guitar riff and boring banter that would give “The Big Bang Theory” a run for its money. 010

rcarcases.bsky.social @rcarcases.bsky.social · 09/03/2025“The Scrapbook of Life and Death” by J Webster Sharp is completely out of the box as far as graphic novels go. Sharp is an outstanding cartoonist. If you’re into body horror, this is your jam. I am not into body horror but she’s so damn good I had to make an exception. 000

rcarcases.bsky.social @rcarcases.bsky.social · 08/03/2025I was going to bake a trip to TCAF 2025 into a short getaway with my wife. However, while Toronto looks like a nice place to raise a family, after a few hours of research it looks bland. So I’m going to SPX 2025. You can say that area is also bland but you have DC nearby & my wife is from the area. 000
rcarcases.bsky.social @rcarcases.bsky.social · 25/02/2025Allegedly people fled from Twitter & Meta to BlueSky.
