Mistle Thrush in full and extended song wasn't on my first hour at work bingo card for this morning.

Thanks Mike. Good to know it was seen again. I'm not on the WhatsApp group (my own choice - lack of opportunity to get out to see anything reported).

Hi Mike, Wryneck on Bredon Hill? I didn't realise it had been seen again - good news. Did anyone manage a photo?

Rob S @rbstrng.bsky.social · 06/09/2026
Not convinced this was the Wryneck but it's possible and may be worth checking that area.

Rob S @rbstrng.bsky.social · 06/09/2026
Craig, still piecing things together. As I left the area, two people with a loose, energetic dog came past me heading that way. I heard what I thought was a thrush-type alarm call, and saw a bird fly past the tower and drop over the wall on to the escarpment, east of the tower but not much.

No Craig. It flushed out of a bush in one of the ditches, flew maybe 20 metres and dropped down behind a fence line. I was in the middle of a family walk. Hung back and walked the area for 30 mins or so but no further sign.

Find four current members to nominate you, then wait 30 years to reach the head of the queue, then spend nearly 2 grand on fees and outfit.

Decent start to the season. Need to find a way to turn those dominant periods into a win, and I couldn't see anyone up front who looked like bagging loads of goals.

Good start, but the house needs grey plague windows, all the trees removed and a couple of 80 grand minibuses parked outside.

Blue Lines is 1991. 35 years ago. 35 years before that is 1956. How many albums can you name from 1956? The media's self-absorbed view of the 90s as The Best Of Times again.

Bournville/Northfield - 40+ Swift over Woodlands Park at the moment, and a rolling ball of 30+ adults and juvs screaming directly overhead. Magic. Can't recall ever seeing 70+ together here before.
