Arnside, Cumbria - Osprey seen twice early afternoon - possibly @foulshaw2.bsky.social bird(s)? 100+ Curlew and a very obliging Tawny Owl sat out for an extended period around 3pm.

Bournville/Northfield - 40+ Swift over Woodlands Park at the moment, and a rolling ball of 30+ adults and juvs screaming directly overhead. Magic. Can't recall ever seeing 70+ together here before.

Wyre Forest - highly productive morning in the area between the old railway line and the Visitor Centre. 4(!) Wood Warbler, including two males singing barely 100 metres apart. Spotted Flycatchers displaying (at least six seen), Marsh Tits feeding fledglings, plus all the usuals. #worcsbirds

Wyre Forest - 2 singing Spotted Flycatcher, Dipper (finally), good numbers of Redstart and Pied Flycatcher, Cuckoo, Mandarin, Tree Pipit etc. Then spent 3.5 hours walking various areas with good Wood Warbler habitat and found nothing. #worcsbirds

Goosander with 8 young on the Severn near Bewdley at lunchtime. Family visit to Wyre Forest produced Redstart, Pied Flycatcher, Tree Pipit, two Kingfisher, plenty of Willow and Garden Warbler, Cuckoo. No Wood Warbler or Dipper, but apparently both have been seen this morning by others. #worcsbirds

Bredon Hill - the Scrubby Triangle of Dreams delivers again. Redstart, multiple Tree Pipit song flights, Whitethroats squabbling over territory, Garden Warbler, loadza Willow Warbler, loadza Yellowhammer, Stonechat, singing Mistle Thrush, Red Kite, 2 Raven. Plus all the usual.

Shustoke - 7 Little Gull just done a splash-and-dash, feeding for 10 mins before flying out north. Dozens of hirundines, inc 30+ House Martin. 2 Common Sandpiper. Biggest surprise was finding a Brambling feeding under the oak in the car park. Willow Warbler, Common Whitethroat.

Bredon Hill - 100+ Fieldfare west of the tower, but no Ring Ouzel despite 30 mins trawling through them as they endlessly flushed and resettled (4 Buzzard and 2 Red Kite weren't helping). 2 Marsh Tit, singing Corn Bunting, 20+ Yellowhammer, Stonechat and finally year-ticked Red-legged Partridge!

Lickey Hills - flock of 15+ Brambling this afternoon in the area marked. Feeding on the ground, flushed into nearby trees but didn't go far. I've seen Brambling in a similar area in previous years so presumably a reliable food source. #worcsbirds

Clifton Pits - Barnacle Goose and as-yet-unidentified white goose with the enormous Greylag flock. Can't see anything more interesting sadly. Weedy fields to the south are full of finches, including several nice Brambling wheezes. 7 Fieldfare #worcsbirds

Egyptian Vulture on the clifftop (it's there if you look, honest) - Barranc d'Algendar, Menorca this morning. 18 in flight together at 10.20am was a spectacular sight, alongside 6+ Booted Eagle and several Red Kites.

Parc de la Bovaque, Abbeville - short walk from Abbeville centre. Series of pools fed by crystal-clear chalk streams. Spotted Flycatcher - 20+ along 100m stretch of one stream. Video doesn't really do it justice. Black Redstart on Saint-Vulfran church. House Martins feeding nests all over town.
