FIFA clearly has no interest in following its own rules and disciplinary code. But the USMNT has a choice. It can ignore FIFA's appalling decision. Coach Mauricio Pochettino can show the moral leadership that FIFA is lacking and not play Folarin Balogun against Belgium - not even as a substitute.
