I've read fifteen years of X-Men comics in two months. Here are some thoughts (this thread will be continually updated) Cyclops and Emma Frost together is significantly better than Cyclops and Jean.

I put together some Box Car Racer and +44 songs to create a new blink-182 album, as if the band never broke up. Then I wrote an oral history about that album, and the tension in the band at that time. This is "Bad Decisions", a blink-182 concept album morrissweat.substack.com/p/an-oral-hi...

The simplicity of this game makes it the best Diablo to me. One town. You have to go to the church and work your way down 16 levels until you reach hell and fight Diablo himself. That's it.

Star Wars Episode 1 Racer (Dreamcast version, specifically) made me feel like I was in the Star Wars universe more than any game since. Trading parts with Watto and exploring the racing maps was all the illusion I needed.

I know games look more real than ever, but I'm someone who used to look at the background of games like Sonic 1 and Streets of Rage and admire the world creation put into the art. It was enough for me to feel like it was taking place in a real world.

DC has released dozens of animated films that adapt their most famous stories, and most of them are great. Why Marvel hasn't done this is beyond me.

I've only been able to read four books this year because Stephen King's IT was longer than anything I've ever attempted and Anne Rice's The Vampire Lestat was (while good) a chore for almost half of the book.

There is no reason you don't start making Spider-Man 98, picking up where the 90s show left off. And my dream would be an X-Force show inspired by Rick Remender's run. Run each show two months after the other ends. Repeat yearly. X-Men 97 --> Spider-Man 98 --> X-Force

I was there when a 7/10 didn't mean the death of your game dev studio. I was there when it was fun to go into a game store and talk about the future of the videogame industry. I was there when game devs & the creative choices they made were considered more important than a game's monetization plan

The overall story of those games were cool, but the added characters came with such cool stories and that's what made me fall for those games. I wasn't even really good at them. For example, Sub-Zero in MK 2 being the younger brother of the now deceased MK 1 version.

I'm like weirdly an expert on Mortal Kombat lore pertaining to the first three entries. It got a little wonky in four and took some fun turns after that, but man -- MK9 was basically a reboot of the first three games and it was heaven.
