There are of course factors such as financial insecurity or mental and physical impediments (spoons ≠ motivation even though people will tell you they are the same) but when you can, do, whether you feel inspired or not. 1729431105 0

Whenever I see a little bump in downloads/sales for past issues, it tends to coincide with one of that issue's writers talking about it somewhere. Don't be shy! 1948074 0
Ray Basten @raybasten.bsky.social · 26/12/2024Hope everyone's having pleasant holidays. Christmas with family is fun, but exhausting. I will be sleeping for the next week. 010 0

Members of the billionaire class want to destroy it for some reason. (@archive.org is also under constant threat nowadays and in need of support) 12152302729 0

Certainly not in Byzantium, or anywhere with Orthodox Christians for that matter. Certainly not in Romance. Arabic. Slavonic. Norse. Archaeology exists. What am I missing here? Saxon shit? 3726236 0

Ray Basten @raybasten.bsky.social · 22/12/2024Been thinking of re-doing this piece I did back in c.2015 for a while. It was one of my first ever digital art pieces. I was very proud of it at the time and I'm honestly kinda impressed little me did as well as I did when using only GIMP and a mouse. #art #oldart #redraw 030 0
Ray Basten @raybasten.bsky.social · 21/12/2024Lately I've been trying a looser, less exact method for coloring. It's a lot more fun and less stressful. Testing some small character design changes. Idk what I'm doing with the clothes yet, so far I'm just throwing together some long flowing robes, I'll figure out something more solid later. #art 010 0

Ray Basten @raybasten.bsky.social · 20/12/2024Day 2 of attempting to keep up with a social media account. I'm realizing I don't actually know what people usually post on these things. I'll probably just share art, I guess. Maybe it'll motivate me to practice more if I know there's a chance people will see it... 000 0
