I do enjoy my job, truly - my coworkers are like family, I love getting to listen to audiobooks/podcasts all day and no customers, but yeesh this is the most intense summer in a long time. Bacteria love warm n wet conditions and we've been bombarded with extra pathogen testing. I'm so tired.

Some people might not be aware, but it is entirely possible that without Dolly Parton we wouldn’t have had a COVID vaccine. She partly funded Moderna’s research and gave the largest individual contribution to make it all happen. Just gives you an idea of the kind of person she was.

Started the demo for Silver Pines after a long day, only got a bit into it but it's damn good. Beautiful art style, intuitive play, creepy as hell atmosphere. Very Silent Hill x Twin Peaks ish feel in a metroidvania of all things.

Watching Vaati's Duskbloods gameplay, definitely looks interesting. But it also looks like a DLC's worth of content, with graphics vastly inferior to Bloodborne (PS4, mind you) and is PVP only. On a console I'll never buy. I wish it well but sheesh that's a bummer.
