Speaking of Steam sale, I'm still figuring I'll get a Steam Frame some day. Any good VR suggestions to pick up in the meantime? I'm looking at Blade and Sorcery for magic/melee and Boneworks for gun stuff. The Morrigan looks good and is cheap. Beatsaber for rhythm exercise. Any other ideas?

Printed a playmat tube for this cool playmat I got! It's kinda big in my booth but I tried. Red/blue silk PLA so it has this neat gradient to it. 150g for the whole thing isn't bad.
A 3d printed two piece tube in a white photobooth with a black backdrop.
It's sized to hold a rolled up Magic or Sorcery playmat.
It's printed in a red/blue mixed silk PLA so it has that silk sheen with a gradient that changes as you rotate it.

Still blocking a couple dozen new accounts every day posting slop. Kind of amazing how it's a nonstop deluge. "This generic anime girl slop account will surely become popular!" I honestly don't understand why they get made. It's embarrassing and it sucks.

Minecraft Dungeons 2 doesn't play on the Steam Deck like I hoped. It tries to install some xbox service and crashes to desktop or something. Spent awhile trying to get Steam Remote Play working across three computers last night to play it with my kids, and it kept bugging out. Managed to play a bit

Sorting my Arthurian Legends Sorcery box, I put the "best" cards of each stack on top. A few stacks I didn't get a single elite or unique, pretty swingy box.
A bunch of stacks of cards on the carpet from the game Sorcery Contested Realms. They're sorted by element and then site / minion / spell.
Some of the better cards include Queen Guinevere, a foil The Black Plague, Nelly Longarms, a Grand Old Boar and Pendragon Legacy and Banner.

Got a box of Arthurian Legends for Sorcery TCG ($129us) today and just had my kids open them. Biggest card was a foil The Black Plague ($60). Was hoping for a The Faerie Queene but didn't get lucky, though I did get a Nelly Longarms ($15) which is a pretty sick faerie.
The Sorcery: Contested Realms card "The Black Plague" from the Arthurian Legends set.
It basically kills off the weakest minion each turn in the four sites that it can cover. The Sorcery: Contested Realms card "Nelly Longarms". It's a yucky looking bog witch looking kind of fairy that basically sends out its long arms, drags whoever it hits back and drowns them (killing them instantly if they don't have Submerge)

Going to play Inis at 4p tonight for the first time in awhile! Then Sorcery afterwards with whatever time is left. Inis can sometimes be finished in 30min, sometimes an hour and thirty, just depending on how the cards flop. We're not one of those groups that need the "We need a king!" rule.

Once again, because it's been, I dunno, a few weeks at least: I live in Michigan. I will not vote for Gavin Newsom IN THE GENERAL ELECTION. He is NOT ELECTABLE. Please factor that into your calculations as we draw nearer to the primary in your state if you want to win in 2028.

Thinking about this, while cool, while I'd like it to exist, I don't think I'll realistically play Necromunda again and this would be yet another big thing I have to store in my house. Probably just scrap the idea. Maybe go back to painting my Cities of Sigmar (which might actually get used).

Drystacking some pieces to get the layout of this Necromunda piece. It'll be a 3" high platform with a tunnel under it, some large steps in the front up and a tall pringles stack with some platforms wrapping around it. Multiple ways up, through and around so there's no dead ends.

(tom waits voice): what's she building in there
Six cards from a work-in-progress, using medieval marginalia as illustrations. Each has a cost, title, type, speed, attack, guard, magic, listed in this alt text in that order.
2 mousers (cat) 1/1/1/1: When this is played, it deals one damage to a wounded drollery, or one damage to itself. ("Now that we've got you, you'll lead us to the colony. We have ways of making you squeak." – Long Tom)
4 crosshares (hare) 1/2/1/1: Handburn (Alchemy): count your hares in play, then defeat an enemy drollery whose guard is equal to or less than the count. ("For every one of theirs we hit, the boys also hit one of ours. Glad their aim is improving." – Whistletuft Manslayer)
5 wandering mystic (fox) 2/2/1/1: Holy: if attacked, another of your drolleries may take the damage instead. Defeat: discard it to your rival's pile instead. (He was guided by visions to new places. What luck they always conspired to bring him to the wealthy and gullible.)
4 wheat thrashers (human) 2/2/2/1: Protector: if not attacked, this drollery may replace another as an attack target. (Manslayer showed the rebels that flails, used to beat the grain from their husks, could also separate a tyrant from his.)
5 mad dancers (grotesque) 3/3/2/1: When played, you and your rival each draw a card face-down from your decks and place it on the table. Choose one to put in your hand; your rival takes the other. ("Come dance with us, stranger! We saw you from acrost the field, and we are drawn to thy spirit!")
4 wyrmling (dragon) 2/3/1/2: Flight: if attacked by a non-flying drollery, can be returned to your hand. Aether created by this drollery during your Alchemy is not removed in your end phase. ("I took pity on a poor, helpless hatchling, and stayed my hand. And that, dear Ban, is how I lost it." – Captain Wyles)

Kinda neat thinking if I get lucky with the random draw I could be playing VR stuff for the first time next week. The last 'closest' thing I had was the Move games on PS3 that tracked your hands perfectly. There was an arena combat game that I loved. Having that strapped to your face sounds great.

I drew a comic strip.
a comic strip. The first panel shows a goblin in a long coat approaching a guard. The second panel has the goblin saying "we're just normal men!". The third panel has the guard replying "what do you mean normal men?". The fourth panel shows both the goblin in the coat and the guard. The coat is beginning to open to show many goblins within. The guard looks suspicious and a goblin emerging from the coat is saying "We're just innocent men!"

Put my 3d printed #Necromunda scatter and panel in the booth for better pics. The process is just gray prime, thin coat of the main color (red, blue), thin brown wash, nickel drybrush, thicker brown grime then orange rust stippled on.
The same pipes and fuel containers as my previous posts. 3d printed and painted up in mostly apple barrel paints. Posed in a photobooth.
A few necromunda minis are posed to give a scale to it.

Got 30min of time here and there and mostly finished these Necromunda scatter bits. Might detail some panels and buttons later, but these are like 95% done. Looks suitably grimy and rusty, with just a bit of color so the underhive isn't too samey. Reaper mini from my kids dungeon setup for scale.
Seven 3d printed Necromunda pieces that are storage tanks and pipes of various kinda, as well as two floor or wall panels that are about 2" x 4" each. Next to them are the brushes used, and behind them are the paints used.

Still just not liking the Frieren manga. After owning 1-6 I decided to check out 7-9 from the library. Read 7 last night. The building art is still just boxes, characters have like three expressions, dialog is basic... i don't know. Maybe the anime made up for a lot of it? I haven't seen it.

I had a few comments in discord that the red is "too bright" for Necromunda. Grim and dark things only. This is what Necromunda looks like to me though. Bright blues, yellow hazard stripes, red and yellow books. I didn't think my piece here stood out too much in comparison with this.
An image from an old advertisement for the original release of Necromunda, with its grey uprights and blue card floors and walls with hazard stripes, bright explosion markers and classic red measuring sticks.

The books in the back are yellow and red, with the quick lookup sheets featuring bright red panels and hazard stripes all around.

Undercoat: rustoleum painters touch 2x ultracover primer (flat gray)
Red tank: apple barrel flag red
Brown mud: watered down Apple Barrel Nutmeg slopped on
Metallic: drybrush of folkart nickel
More nutmeg painted on for drip paths
