I got a Kochiana brunnipes last month. I was worried I'd never see this little one because it's fossorial, but it often sits at the entrance of its burrow. Making the most of the space in its new enclosure I guess lol.

A dwarf pink leg spider is sitting at the opening of a dram vial. This little one is mostly black with salmony pink legs and a metallic spot on its opisthosoma.

Kickstarter officially banning adult content now. Knew this was coming, but it still sucks to have yet another part of the internet that I've been explicitly evicted from. Digital gentrification is exhausting.

Screenshot of Kickstarter's new rules against mature content, in which everything pornographic is banned. It's a long document that's formatted in a way that I can't copy and paste all the text that's in it, but the first is that all point and anything sexual is now banned.

This part of the document outlines how even self censoring your own work will not work, because even the implication of sex is too much. Even in prose works.

This document is confusing because it says that erotic comics ARE allowed... you just can't show sex acts or genitals or try to arouse people. Also you can make sex toys, just so long as they're not for sexual gratification.

This is how Kickstarter's email began:

"Hello,
Kickstarter has always been a home for bold, boundary-pushing creative work, including mature content projects like romance novels, nude art books, and provocative comics. Creators working in this space are a valued part of our community, and that hasn’t changed." And yet it definitely has changed.

I accidentally over watered my cyriocosmus elegans and I had to change out the substrate which finally gave me the chance to see them! I've had them since December and they've molted twice now. They're still tiny but they have their adult colors already!
