Overall, the book suggests that populism's relationship with constitutionalism is complex and context-dependent. It produces divergent tensions and impacts, thereby challenging assumptions about both the institutional role of courts and the nature of constitutionalism itself.

📖 The book addresses the rise of populism and its implications, particularly for courts and legal institutions. It questions and ultimately challenges the prevailing view in comparative constitutional law that courts can act as bulwarks against authoritarian, self-aggrandising populists in power.

Pourquoi la Santé publique a-t-elle choisi de mettre fin à son enquête 24 heures avant la diffusion de votre reportage? Et donc d'éviter de répondre aux préoccupations additionnelles que celui-ci pourrait soulever?

A year ago today, I travelled to Armenia to interview different stakeholders, including the then-Vice President of the Constitutional Court. This gave me insights on the aftermath of the 2018 ‘Velvet Revolution’ and the tense relationship between a new government and the country’s judiciary. (1/2)

In this @verfassungsblog.de post, @jsocher.bsky.social and I examine issues regarding non-resident voting. We suggest that countries that allow out-of-country voting should make more efforts to provide genuine opportunities for non-resident citizens to vote in elections, free from excessive hurdles.
